About Natsai, your qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor

Natsai head shot in shape of phoenix

I’m Natsai, a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor offering a safe and inclusive space for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including the LGBTQ+ and Kink communities.

Every person’s journey is different, shaped by their individual experiences, challenges, and aspirations. I believe in the power of active listening and empathy, and I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can express your thoughts and feelings freely.

I am a Kink-aware therapist who works with clients and their presenting issues related to their GSRD (LGBTQ+) identity and the issues they may face culturally.

I am passionate about empowering individuals to unlock their full potential. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to identify strengths, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience.

It’s your time to heal, to grow, and to put yourself first.

My qualifications and experience

I was born and bred in Wolverhampton and enjoy outdoor walks, gardening, crocheting, or spending time with my three children.

With a level 3 diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and degrees in Youth Studies and Social Policy, I bring a strong academic background to my counselling services. I am an accredited registrant through NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) under the professional standards authority. I’ve also got hands-on experience from working within the NHS, Sandwell Talking Therapies and as a Macmillan Cancer Champion, allowing me to support individuals through complex life experiences.

Counselling isn’t just a profession for me – it’s a calling rooted in my own life experiences. I know first-hand how transformative the right support can be, and I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey.

A case study: Finding strength after trauma

When Carly (name changed for privacy) was referred to counselling, she was feeling lost. Her second child had just been born via emergency C-section, and while she was thrilled to welcome her baby, the experience had left her struggling with anxiety, low mood, and exhaustion. Her first birth had been traumatic, and with her eldest child needing additional developmental support, the weight of it all felt overwhelming.

Carly had tried counselling before but had a bad experience that left her hesitant. She only came to her first session with me because she felt she should give it another go.

But this time felt different.

Carly said: “In my first session I felt as though it was all about me and I didn’t feel pressured to open up to tick boxes. Natsai didn’t pick up a pen and write anything down the whole time and I noticed this because this is one of things that put me off previously. By my third session I wanted to open up and by probably my 5th session I’m pretty sure Natsai knew my life story.”

Over time, we worked through her anxieties, sleep struggles, and feelings of being stuck. Together, we explored ways to manage her emotions, rebuild her self-worth, and take small steps toward change.

Carly shared: My sleeping changed and I was felling less anxious. She [Natsai] supported me on leaving the house more with my children and not being so fearful of the world and by the end of it all I was attending the gym twice a week, speaking more to my husband which made our relationship so much better and I even started making preparation to go back to work even though I had been off for over 18 months due to my poor mental health.”

Carly’s journey wasn’t about ‘fixing’ anything - it was about helping her rediscover her strength. And she did.

"A big thank you for helping me become strong and the best version of me I could be right now."
